What is a Hackathon?
A Hackathon is a social event where people with a passion for innovation and/or technology come together and "hack", or code/develop a software artifact such as an application/website/etc.

Is this an online event?
We don't think online events are fun, so this is an on-site-only event.

Why should I participate?
Learning something new, network, have a blast during a weekend with us and win some cash prizes!

What should I bring?
Bring a laptop (or a PC, if you prefer) and a charger. Power, WiFi, food, drinks and space will be provided.

How many people can form a team?
A team should be between 3 and 5 people, if you don't have one yet feel free to sign up and join us at the event, there will be plenty of speedfriending at the kick-off to help you find a team!

Does it cost anything to participate?
No, participation is free for everyone.

Who can apply?
You can apply if you are over 18 years old. We are looking for a mix of people - tech, finance, business, healthcare, however, we do want every team to develop a prototype (software asset), something to keep in mind. We will review your application and get back to you via email!

Will there be WiFi access?
Yes!

Will food be provided?
Yes! There will be plenty of snacks, beverages and full meals will also be provided during the entire hackathon.

Will accomodation be provided?
No. Unfortunately, this time we only provide the venue during the day. You can stay and work until the venue closes (21:00 Friday, 22:00 Saturday, 19:00 Sunday), but not overnight.

How long can I stay at the venue each day?
- First day (Friday the 12th of May): 15:00 - 19:00;
- Second day (Saturday the 13th of May): 8:00 - 22:00;
- Closing day (Sunday the 14th of May): 8:00 - 19:00.

What is the official language of the event?
The Hackathon will be primarily hosted in English. That includes presentations from us, our partners, and we also expect you to prepare to present your projects in English.

Can I use any programming language?
Yes!

What about the confidentiality of information?
Keep in mind that we might take pictures of at the event. At the hackathon you will get a consent form to allow that, but if you aren't comfortable with that please let us know in advance!

Can we use third party components - source libraries etc. in our project?
If you declare the software you use in your presentation and use it lawfully (licenced), you are free to use any.
